Due to some ugly storms we are experiencing right now in my area, I am going to go ahead and post tonight's diary a little early. We have already lost power for a couple of minutes so just to be on the safe side, I'm posting now.

Today George W Bush vetoed the $124 billion war-spending bill and went against the will of the American people...again.

First let me say I am sorry this diary is late going up. Today was my mother-in-law's birthday. She lives with us and we had company until just a few minutes ago. Anyway, family first so the diary will be short and sweet tonight. If anyone wants to add any news, feel free to do so in the comments. I even missed my one guilty pleasure on the telly-Grey's Anatomy...thank goodness for tivo. :-D

We have some wonderful news tonight for Edwards supporters! According  not only to the March Daily Kos straw poll but to also now to MyDD, Edwards is THE netroots candidate. Last month on Daily Kos we had Edwards winning 38% to 26% over Obama.

Good evening everyone! Hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday. I'm filling in for Sally tonight who was filling for TomP on the weekends but Sally had a family issue where she was needed. My diary tonight will just be a brief recap of new items and then we can just sit around a while and talk about everything.

Welcome all Edwards supporters! Last night a few of us Edwards supporters in TomP's nightly diary thought it might be a fun idea to do a diary where we get to know our fellow Edwards supporters a little better. Tonight's diary will be a combination of the daily news wrap up  for Edwards and a meet and greet of all Edwards supporters. TomP will resume tomorrow night with his wonderful nightly "Edwards In The News" diary.

I have hunted through countless articles this morning and didn't know where else to turn but to my trusty Kossacks.

There is some hoopla at different web sites that Diane Feinstein has resigned from the Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee over a conflict of interest. Anyone from her state or just well informed Kossacks know anything about this? Would you mind taking a few minutes to explain it to me.

My heart breaks for the Edwards family. I cannot imagine working as hard as these two people have worked and to be faced with this again. How much are two people suppose to endure and keep fighting the good fight?

Everyone's nerves are frazzled about now...I know mine are. I thought it would be nice to share some songs or artists that are well known from your home states. Just a little something to take our minds off what is ahead of us in the next 48 hours.

This is a short diary but I just wanted to give everyone a quick update on how the GOTV was going here in upper east Tennessee. My daughter and two other people in her group went to about 40 houses today.

Tonight in Johnson City, Tennessee there was a rally for  Congressional District Republican nominee David Davis and Dennis Hastert was his guest speaker. Was Denny recieved with open arms?

Of course I know the answer to this but according to a flyer that mother-in-law (a Democrat by the way) recieved in the mail today, he not only has one brown eye and one red (that made him look like a devil), he looks unshaven and he looks like he has been on a binge for about a week. I went to a rally for Ford this week and the man looks like he stepped right out of a men's fashion magazine but in this flyer he looks a crackhead.  The flyer was also full of misleading statements concerning his voting record. One statement even said he didn't think issues like fighting childhood cancer, ovarian cancer and helping the vets were important.

I am so tired. Tired of seeing people die. Tired of all the destruction. Tired of my government doing nothing to help bring peace. I'm tired of hate and hateful people. I'm tired of having my hope for the future taken away from me a little more everyday. I'm tired.
